This Privacy Policy explains what information WhichToBuy (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit whichtobuy.online, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum. You can read our guides without creating an account or giving us any personal details.
Information you give us
- Contact form and email: when you contact us, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Comments: if you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and optional website you enter, along with your comment, IP address, and browser user agent to help detect spam. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the date and time of each visit. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
- Cookies: we use a small number of cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We do not currently use advertising networks or third-party analytics tracking on WhichToBuy. If that changes, we will update this policy.

Third-party services
- Retailers such as Amazon: when you follow a link to a retailer, you are subject to that retailer’s own privacy policy. Retailers may use cookies to attribute your purchase to WhichToBuy for affiliate commission purposes. We do not receive your name, address, or payment details from them.
- Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google’s servers, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when the fonts are downloaded.
- Gravatar: profile images next to comments may be loaded from Gravatar, a service run by Automattic, based on a hashed version of the commenter’s email address.
- Share buttons: our share buttons are simple links. Nothing is sent to a social network unless you click one, at which point that network’s privacy policy applies.
- Hosting: the site is hosted by a third-party web hosting provider that processes server data on our behalf.
How long we keep data
We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Comments and their related data are kept for as long as the comment remains on the site. Server log data is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including under laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email contact@whichtobuy.online. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
WhichToBuy is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
